View Article  Breath Testing

Breath alcohol testing is highly unreliable.  Besides being based on faulty scientific principles of Henry's Law, the breath machines themselves are run on out-dated software programs and subject to erroneous results.  You probably didn't know that on the BAC DataMaster machines used by most local law enforcement agencies, that over 20 different parts of the machine - including the tube that you blow into to give a breath sample - can be removed from the machine and it will still say "ready to receive sample."  ? !  The new Intoxylizer 8000 series of machines that hit the market in the recent past have already had so many errors that Arizona and other states have banned their use until the problems are corrected.

The bottom line is that it is almost NEVER in your interest to take a breath test if you are pulled over and accused of driving under the influence.
